Asked Dennis Schroder why he's said several times that he wants to stay with the Nets long-term:

“When I first got traded here, they texted my mom, texted my wife, sent them flowers. I love things like that. My teammates from the first day were talking to me, and they made me feel comfortable. That’s all you can ask for. The front office and all those guys, social media guys, everybody is just cool and making sure the players are straight. That’s the reason why I can see myself being here long-term... But it’s a business at the same time, and whenever a decision is made, I just go with it and always remind myself that it’s the best league in the world. So it doesn’t matter where [I'm playing]. Even if I get traded, I always gotta see the positive side of it. But I want to stay here.”

Nothing appealing about guys that couldn't make it chastising people that did. I can log on to abw if I want to see that. Outside of ernie and a few others that stay neutral those types have always been wack to me. No more Stephen a's or Bill Simmons types. There's enough nba experienced experts to choose from and make a great broadcast.

Food for thought

I saw a journalist the other day reacting to the Vince Carter analyst or broadcast role and he was like former players who have no experience in media should not have an inside track that they do over guys that been working in media for 10+ years

When he expressed it like that I kinda felt him

Imagine a guy going to school for broadcasting working his way up and then he doesn’t get a job because niggas wanna hire Jamal Crawford because he done playing and got nothing better to do while still being well off money wise

On court experience trumps media training that those players will get anyway. I wanna hear from guys that did it not who was trained to talk good.

Yeah it sucks for guys that are getting left by the wayside but that happens in every industry. When no one is experienced you can't lean on anyone experienced that's the only reason herbs held those jobs so long. Now you got guys that are experienced and can translate to broadcasting vs guys that can talk to a mic well but can't articulate what it's like to be in certain moments, what sets teams are running, what players or coaches might be thinking etc.

I want real insight. Not just a mfs opinion.
