The script not letting the first father and son duo to play together in the league to lose their first game
 
Redick is already showing why he’s a way better coach by how he’s managing the roster but I won’t say that definitively until 4 more games
 
My take aways for the Knicks after game 1.

Sucks we lost. I'll give the Celtics their credit. They were unstoppable tonight.

But even with the L, I liked what I saw for the most part.

The good -

McBride was really good. I came into this season thinking he was gonna be a key. He's severely underpaid and I hate that for him, but if he performs like this with that contract, then that's gonna be a key for this team.

Brunson looked good. Lost on defense on a few plays but that's expected.

KAT looked good though he just played 24 mins. I liked what I see and the potential is there.

Bridges cleaned it up in that second half. I was ready to put the hit out after the 1st.

The bad -

The defense was ass. Expected with Mitch out. I'm not too worried cause we have the fix on the team already, just waiting to get him healthy. Now how is Mitch and KAT out there gonna effect the offense? That's a real concern but we'll get there when we get there.

The bench is garbage. This can be fixed by the trade deadline though. So not too worried.

For a team who just got together and are missing key pieces, I ain't mad at what I saw. Cautiously optimimistic actually. Especially considering they played the best team in the league.

The only thing I'm focusing on in the Philly game tonight is how Dame is guarded. Giannis is gonna get his regardless so I wanna see what they do with Dame.
