I would have to watch the whole episode but this seems like he just be peaking on his fam without saying anything. The moment he hears a convo of "fighting", he talks to his son for the 1st time in 7 years. Instead of using his one day to come back to family and friends, he goes back to fight. Terrible father and husband, lol

It should work. That is what it was made for. You just need to make sure it translates to your headphones and not on speaker. That would be awkward if they heard it.
