I was listening to Rakim's new album this morning for the first time.
I was like damn he got some verses from people that's not here anymore, Prodigy, Nip, & Fred The Godson.
Towards the end of the album Chino has a verse.

I always said if there was one rapper that could crossover into the current battle rap stage, it'd be chino xl. Chino with those punchlines and accapella was an absolute beast. The metaphors, punchlines, wordplay. Dude would have been an absolute monster.
I did like his later albums, but it never had that same magic as his debut. Some of the meanest punchlines I've ever heard from a rapper. Ever. Made early eminem punchlines sound weak af.
