2024 NBA Offseason Thread

lol you saying anything

Martin and his agent thought they could get more money elsewhere that’s it

Miami could’ve paid him the most he’s now realizing

You factor in no state tax on his paychecks and it’s an even bigger gap in salary

You think Martin wanted to have a bigger role playing with oubre and Paul George Maxey and Embiid? He was playing 28 MPG in miami last season and 30 MPG the year before

I would let you get your jokes off but it don’t even make sense
Out of all the non serious posts I make, THIS the one that rustles your jimmies?🤨

Should have stayed in school.

This is why I can't help but hate what the Lakers are doing with Bronny. They literally took an opportunity from a young brother (most likely), someone probably not already rich, and gave it to Bronny.
No one really cares about second round picks. Most don't even stay in the league. The Lakers especially don't value draft picks since they don't like waiting for potential. With the Lakers you have to be good out the gate and even then you can be traded for a GOAT.

This times two when you consider Lebron's final days of being competitive, and no one is wasting time on second round development. Bronny being picked is perfect for LA because at least it's a hot topic for media, which the Lakers feed on more than anything. The kid will mostly be in G League.

They're going to matter more now that the hard aprons are in effect and you can't just spend your way to acquire talent

You're going to have to actually get creative or develop talent and play the rookie max extensions game

I don't buy it. Wouldn't that have put Miami in one of the tax aprons? Mickey got money to play with like that?
It’s too much I would have to look back up and find but it was possible for us to have offered that money to Caleb

So much so that I’m glad he didn’t sign back here because of what it would’ve done flexibility wise

That

Rozier got hurt when he started to get into a groove (he only practiced with the team twice since being traded there)

Draft picks this year

Etc

Imo Jaimie going to take a leap and pretty much continue to look like Mexican jimmy, but if jovic really becomes that quality/star euro player picking up a star free agent wasn’t necessary if Miami believes in their development there’s no reason to pick up any of the free agents because they would of stunted their growth.

And you right we never really got to see rozier get settled so once again between that and Jaime/jovic potential Miami is kinda of unknown.

Yeah it’s just not the sexy answer
