The main thing that got me away from that element is… the desire to go out and have a good time and NOT have to deal with that shit.

One of my all time great experiences was when I was in the AF and hung out with the few other black men that was in, and just goin out doin shit without having to have my head on a swivel for bullshit. It was great. All the bullshit I thought was so serious, didn’t mean a god damn thing.

I’d go as far to say that, of all people, gang members DO need to have a good time, and be around black folks and NOT be on that type of time.

There are layers to it. And the foundation is spiritual, but of course most can't handle the foundational aspect of the truth because then they would have to acknowledge King Jesus.
