Paolo was not the clear number 1 pick lmao. Literally no one thought Paolo was going number 1 until a day before when Vegas spilled the beans.

If you watched them play in college you knew Jabari wasn't number 1 pick material and Paolo was more talented

He’s improving which is good but for a 3rd pick he’s been alright but not what y’all want from a player drafted where he was

He's shown he's going to be a high level starter and not a superstar....which is what I've always known about him, so I can't be disappointed about where he's at right now

Yall underestimate how much of a wasted year that was under Silas too

He literally said he wasn't running plays or doing anything to help get the number 3 overall pick going

You can say that in hindsight, maybe you even believed that at the time but for most of that year Jabari was considered the consensus number 1 pick by everyone. You had already come to terms with taking Paolo until Orlando pulled the rug out from beneath yall.

Jabari Smith has been fine

The worst 3rd overall pick since Jahlil Okafor BUT when you factor in the personnel he has played with which took away from opportunities and after an uneven rookie season hes doing quite fine

It’s kinda bad to have this convo after finishing his 2nd season
Yall did it to Scottie Barnes (who's doing what a 3rd pick is supposed to do 😉) so I'm here for all this.

They were trying to get the other shitty 3rd pick going.

:hahaha:

Biased aside...I would rather have Jabari than RJ Barrett right now

Idk I get what the homie @southsil4lil saying but to me top 3 picks are supposed to be franchise altering and Jabari ain’t that.

I can’t say I had expectations for him coming in cause I don’t watch college bball like that.

I still like his game though.

The only other player taken in that draft that's been better is Jalen Williams who was taken at 12 and arguably Tari who was taken at 17....it would have been absurd to draft either one of them at 3 in real time

So realistically if Chet or Paolo are off the board....the only other option besides Bari would've been Keegan Murray who is 2 years older or Jaden Ivey who spent half the season coming off the bench behind Killian Hayes

Jabari 6"11 shooting almost 37% from 3 and playing very good defense at 21 years old

I'm fine with that lol
