Sure, but he ended up being kinda regretful of that decision and apologized to Bron later

He definitely controlled his destiny but look what happened in Boston and Brooklyn

But he controlled it........Lebron might have had him traded to the Utah or Lebron could've just went somewhere else and left Kyrie in Cleveland with Tristan Thompson, Dellavedova and Cedi Osman

Yeah that was his main concern but I remember thinking at that time, well that's the team that drafted you, so even if Bron abandons you he kinda left you where he found you.... Kyrie wasn't wit it lol

Why would someone stay in Cleveland willingly if there’s a chance Lebron is going to leave soon?
