I agree, it's not even close to the same as disses in rap. Like Swift makes lyrics saying someone is mean and makes her sad, so they're a bully and people call it a diss, haha. Really what are the diss bars in Bad Blood?

Rap beefs try to destroy, embarrass, and end the career of the other person a lot of the time. These other people write songs implying they may not get along with someone, or talkin a tiny bit slick and people call it a diss.

Maybe even before. There's a way more disrespectful version that was going to be released but Quincy told Mike that was too much. He didn't want him to drop DD at all.

Dirty diana was his response to her song “Dirty Looks.” She was trying to seduce him after she got married, but he was tired of her games. In her song, she says “every move you make, boy, I’ll be watching you…” In his song, he says “I know your every move, so won’t you just let me be…” Communicating with each other through song.
