Imagine Mahrez trying that shit at Man U in the fergie era, not matter what his skill level is dude would be rotting in the reserves.

Which is how it should be, a lot of these clubs are allowing players to shift the power into their hands (agents also encourage the bullshit).

If a few of these players were left to rot I’d think it would send the right message to them.

LOL, u "Back in my day" mfers act like "Star players" have not been doing dumb shit and getting away with it since the beginning of time. Lord knows the amount of shit Fergie let Cantona get away with.

On the one hand Leicester were right to hold out for £80m because in today's market that's a decent price for a top player. For example Coutinho went for £145m so you can't tell me Mahrez is only worth around half of Coutinho especially when Mahrez has more accolades than him (PFA POTY 2016, Premier League Winner 2016, BBC African FOTY 2016). Therefore asking for £80m for a 26 year old player with 2.5 years on his contract and his proven ability isn't unreasonable.

Then on the other hand City just broke their transfer fee paying £57.1m for Laporte in Jan. So for them to offer £60m for a player is unprecedented and Mahrez would be their record transfer. Higher than Sterling (£44m), De Bruyne (£54m), David Silva, Aguero (£38m), Sane, Jesus.....but he ain't better than most of them!

The reality he'll be gone in the Summer but the question is where and how much? Talking Prem only, United ain't checking for him, Spurs just bought Moura so unlikely; I can see Chelsea being interested but much will depend on who's the manager, unless they sold Welbeck/Laca/Iwobi then Arsenal are pretty stacked in those areas, which leaves Pool but don't know if Klopp's kind of player or back to City again.

His recent antics will put off some as it shows he lacks mental fortitude and is not a team player when he doesn't get his own way (maybe it's the African in him according to some West Ham folk!) which is ironic because when he won PFA POTY 16 he said this:

"Without my team-mates I wouldn't get this award," Mahrez, who joined Leicester from French second-tier side Le Havre in January 2014, said.

"And for my manager and the staff - without them I wouldn't receive this award and I wouldn't score. It's the team spirit, and I want to dedicate it to them."

Ain't that the truth......

Mauricio Pochettino: Tottenham boss says 'process' is about more than titles

Always rationalizing about not winning a trophy.
Is that not what u guys used to do??? For years all i heard was Beautiful football this, Beautiful football that.... U guys might hate each other, but u are pretty much the same except sometimes u are able to sprinkle in some of that "LOOK AT ALL THESE TROPHIES WE USED TO WIN" excuse.

mseries is still more annoying than u though.

The point is that they haven't won a major trophy since 1990.

Regardless of arsenal not winning the league since 04, they have still challenged for it in the years past. Played in Finals and have won trophies. Far from the same.

Your hatred for Arsenal will always cloud your vision. Everything isn't blue and white.

Hatred for Arsenal fans, get it right. I really have no real issues with Arsenal, we don’t have a real rivalry.

It's crazy! I actually love arsenal the club appreciate how they're run etc . But they have to have the worse fans in the world! Spoilt kids that think they deserve more than anyone else.

Got fans making money of the club's downfall getting rich crying on the internet.. how is that support? Can't make it up at all

Its only the fans of clubs who have never won anything in a very long time or whose club just started winning a lot in recent times talking about spoiled.

Lets do the math:
No league title in 15 years. Never won the CL. Pay the most in the world to attend a game. An owner who only cares about money. An incompetent manager. Selling world class players to league title rivals. We could go on and on but you get the point.

Real Madrid fans are spoiled and we could say they top the list. Man United fans are spoiled. Chelsea fans are spoiled. Some Arsenal fans are unappreciative, I'll admit that but spoiled? Nah.

Only one set of fans in the country cried the fa cup isn't good enough.

Cantona was never a diva or went out getting pissed in public looking like a twat or demanding this or that... In fact I believe he didnt even have a contract with United just a hand shake, drove a small Fiesta or Citroen and turned down a pay rise because he didnt need it...

He led by example, yeah he kicked some wasteman on some boss schitt who said some foul (fascist schitt??? I cant remember the dude said now) but I thin it was about his mother, I cant remember, but I think most people would of prolly done the same thing and the club impeccably stood by him throughout the whole ordeal...

Plus what a genius to have around the youngsters, they were in awe of the way he carried himself...

With regards to Rooney, I think Fergie just didnt wanna sell Rooney to City out of principle... He got rid of players that got too big for their boots even if it meant weakening the team: Keane, Beckham, Stam etc

@MKnight 500k ABW cash, we win today? I know you like to avoid match day unless u get wins. So I’ll put it here early.

500k auba, mkhi and ozil are gunna shit on you, but you might get lucky against our questionable defence, maybe even a pen from Alli diving.

Here are the full line-ups from Wembley Stadium

Tottenham Hotspur:
Lloris, Trippier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Dembele, Alli, Eriksen, Kane, Son.
Subs: Rose, Lamela, Wanyama, Vorm, Sissoko, Aurier, Lucas Moura.

Arsenal: Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal, Elneny, Xhaka, Ozil, Wilshere, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang.
Subs: Lacazette, Ospina, Iwobi, Chambers, Welbeck, Maitland-Niles, Kolasinac.

Referee: Anthony Taylor (Cheshire)

Where's hat-trick man Aaron Ramsey? Doesn't seem to be too much width in the Gunners line-up - looks like a 4-2-3-1 formation
