If you can get Kyrie and another max guy its worth letting that Russell go in order to make it happen and I think Jimmy and Kyrie on this Nets team would be a problem in the playoffs....but two max guys with shaky injury history(Jimmy will be 30 when the season starts), for one reason or the other have had locker room issues and neither one is a number 1 option on a championship team is a lot to think about

Jimmy wouldnt do it but I think if I could get him to do a max deal for 3 years I would be all in

Can you unequivocally say that this team can win a championship? To me this move would be shortsighted if we don’t land KD I’d prefer to continue building the way we’ve been building.

Fuck no that team wouldnt win a championship but they could be very good and that wouldn't be a bad offseason

I definitely wouldn't be opposed continuing the same path, building off of this season's success and maintaining some flexibility either though
 
Kyrie & Butler doesn’t win you a chip, i’m all the way good on that pairing. And like Beta mentioned the beauty of our position is our flexibility. You dont ruin that flexibility unless you hit a home run like Kyrie & KD.

Just Kyrie alone, i was hesitant at first especially since im a fan of DLo but the more i think about it, i’m ecstatic. It’s dope to just even be in this position after coming off the billy king era lol

I would rather try pairing Kyrie and D.Lo than Kyrie and Butler.

If Im the Nets im definetly getting Kyrie, then ill offer D.Lo a slightly less than max contract and if the pairing doesnt work, I can easily trade a young improving D.Lo on a near max contract. If yall max a 30 year old Butler though, yall stuck with him.
 
I hear jimmy butler is still interested in playing for Miami

Kyrie and Russell doesnt make sense and would be a terrible fit imo

I see what you're saying though and I agrree, Id only fuck with Kyrie if i knew I was getting another player and Jimmy is huge risk

Like I said yesterday the only way I would consider that would be Jimmy taking a short contract(which isnt happening)
