A Charlotte rapper known as DaBaby has confirmed in a video that he was involved in the fatal shooting of a teen Monday evening inside a Huntersville Walmart.

Entertainment news outlets such as Celebrity Insider and XXL have been reporting for days that DaBaby, also known as Jonathan Kirk and Baby Jesus, shot a 19-year-old during an altercation around 6:30 p.m. in the store.

However, Huntersville Police have not released the name of the shooter who killed Jalyn Domonique Craig and have said only that the killing happened during a fight. At least four people were questioned at the scene, and their names have not released, reported the Charlotte Observer.

The rapper addressed the shooting in an obscenity-laced video shared on YouTube, saying he was in the store Monday shopping with his two children, ages 1 and 5, and their mother when someone pulled a gun and “tried to take my life.”

“Daughter could have got hit, son could have got hit (and) me,” DaBaby says in the video. “Lawyers ... telling me not to say nothing... But two (people) walk down on you and your whole...family, threatening ya’ll, whip out (a gun) on ya’ll, let me see what ya’ll going to do.”

A music news outlet called HipHopOverload.com is reporting an armed man approached DaBaby in the store and tried to “rob him of his jewelry.”

DaBaby denies in his video that the fight took place in the store’s produce section as police said, noting he was shopping for winter clothes for his children at the time

Why would he have the video from the guys phone before the altercation? So he beat him up, took his phone,spliced video from both his phone and dude phone into the same video and posted it online?

Who doesnt have a lock on their phone, they throw hands in a high end store and walk out the mall with no security interactions at all?

not to mention the guy was knocked all the way out with his pants down and shit but somehow had not a lump or a bruise or anything.
 
The dude he got into it with is a local street/rap nigga here in the city. Pretty sure this gonna end up in some fuckery and the city will be on some bullshit.

Also I hate bullies so I'm glad homie gave that nigga the bloody nose

I just looked for video on youtube but all footage of actual fight musta been taken down. Only footage i can find is Mike Jones pissed off in the aftermath.

But i remember Trae country ass took his shoes off to fight lol and mike jones ended up with his pants around his ankles as well

They both been making music for years in different cities.

I doubt either one knew the other existed until recently, and they definitely ain’t purposely blow up at the same time.

And Da Baby used to go by Baby Jesus but he knew that would be frowned upon by the evangelical niggas.
