Married or long term.

Serious question.

Should one partner in the relationship ever be allowed get behind on bills in their name?

You've been together a longtime, but yall keep separate bills...car, cellphone, credit card.
If one person lost their job or job being funny with money.....would you allow them to fall behind on their bills?

Its not your fault they cant save money, right?

Speak on it.

I stopped reading after Serious Question b

I think I answered the question tho
Problem is ...too many times people don't think shit happens.
Dome shit just don't sound logical but it doesn't mean it's not real.

If we live together and she behind, we behind.

It shouldn’t get behind if (s)he is in a long term relationship or married.

If we are married my check will pay all the bills and her check will go to savings, travel or whatever else that might comes up.

the only "separate" bills we have are low limit credit cards and shit that we stay on top of anyway

it matters but its not something i would end a relationship over if that was the only problem

I had a lot of past shit pop up when i got married that she was pissed about

just had to take care of it
