I doubt she will appeal to large sections of Republicans due to the following reasons:

- Mother from India / Father from Jamaica
- Graduated from an HBCU and a member of AKA sorority
- Has a white husband
- Spent sometime living in Quebec Canada

I can see independents voting for her but not an on-the-fence / undecided GOP voter from the Midwest / Rustbelt states.

Didnt kno she was married to a white dude. Did a google images search...

All fair points on the surface. All though -

Obama’s father was from Kenya and Barack looks and acts blacker than Kamala does.

How many people do think predicted him to become President?

- Graduated from an HBCU and a member of AKA sorority

I don’t think white people even know what that is, much less possess the desire to research her academic record.

- Has a white husband

Obama had a white mother and an “Angry black woman” as a wife. That’s got to at least equal interracial marriage on the scale of “white people pet peeves”

- Spent sometime living in Quebec Canada

I feel like we are passed meaningless tropes like places you have lived determining elections.

There is support for diversity and candidates outside of the norm. Look at our last congressional election.

If people aren’t going to vote for a candidate for reasons outside of policy it will be for overt racists reasons, larger conspiracies, or a tremendous dislike - See Hilary Clinton. But even she garnered enough support to represent her party AND decidedly win the popular vote in the presidential election.

Not every conservative is a racist hick. There are moderates out there who want someone who can speak there language and isn’t an “extreme liberal”.

That’s just my opinion

I never take in stock anything - good or bad - at the media’s “portrayal” of Dr. King.

This same media caused him dangerous, once upon a time. They called him a troublemaker and a commie. They were scared solid of the power he summoned in our people.

The same govt - the FBI, led by J. Edna Hoover - tried to blackmail him into committing suicide with tapes of him having affairs.

And when none of this could stop him, they killed him. This is also documented.

I celebrate the life of Dr. King. I also tread VERY carefully with the American media’s patronizing of his legacy, because quite honestly, most of it is bullshit.

Don’t believe it, as normal, huh?

Fine....

You’ll learn....someday.

Can i get a link to the suicide and documented assasination?

i still don’t see the hype with Beto. dude couldn’t beat ted cruz in debate or election. I don’t think he stands a chance against trump
Ted Cruz is a master debater so no shame in that, although who won the debates is obviously subjective. And considering that no Democrat has won a statewide election in Texas in nearly 30 years, I'd have to say his performance was impressive even in defeat.

He helped down ballot candidates and even forced Cruz to bring in Trump to campaign for him despite their sordid history. I'd take his performance as a positive indicator towards his potential in swing states.
