I Agree, I'm not even gonna lie this will sound wild, but the other day I stopped to check out this shiny ass preying mantis looking at me on the ground, that shit made a mechanical robot sound i seen a flash and it flew off.....I ain't bullshiting thats how I remember it happening, the motherfuckers neck moved like it had gears in it....i flipped it off cause i thought it was some kind of drone, I ain't seen one ever since.

Yes, but if you deny Google mic permissions, it will basically stop the constant listening your phone does. I guess if someone hacks into your phone, they could undo that, but how many people really have to worry about an attack of that nature?

That's the point. While Google may not actively USE anything collected via your mic, I guarantee you it's still listening.
