This has been talked about for years and it's gone nowhere. I thought that was the reason for the expansion of the Champions League over the past 20 odd years to try and appease this European Super League idea... and of course Spuds would be left off the list.

True, the whole Super League thing has been talked about for years. But it has gained a lot of pace the past couple of years. Teams outside of England see the money the EPL is bringing in and feel that they can not compete. Teams in England want to continue to bring in more money and feel that they should not share with the rest of the league. I think greed will win out and they will get their way. This will kill many teams and leagues.
