IMO when it comes to societal norms, for women, the more "popular" you become the less you truly are respected.

It can be true for men too, but the double standards cause this to not be weighed in the favor of women. Depravity is rampant, and if you dont follow suit you get over looked. But that honestly isnt always a bad thing.

I'm not really sure what's weird about that. Without weighing on the right or wrong of that particular dynamic, just because you're constantly being begged for something, doesn't mean it's a good thing for you to give it away freely.
 
Growing up in the 90s in Chattanooga, you either had to fight or roast to get respect. If you gave someone the one & you lose, then you can return for a rematch. Often times two niggas will beef so long that they'll become best friends from it.

When I'm seen as so much more dominant that you, it looks crazy when you come for me. Which leads to Banks wanna distance himself to be seen as his own man, even if he eats less because of it.
