NBA Offseason Thread

Morey loves drafting cac wings almost as much as he loves undersized power forwards so this wouldn't surprise me

Theres still talk that the Knicks will take Porter if he falls that low.

Idk how I feel about that. One on hand, hes the player with the most upside and risking the 9th pick isnt as bad as risking the 1st pick.

Id feel more confident in the pick if we didnt have an injury prone star already on the team.

I mostly want them to stay away and not a take a risk but I still wouldnt be mad if they picked porter.

MPJ the most intriguing player in this draft

Hard to pass on that kind of potential but there's also red flags everywhere.....

I don't like to draft players with red flags (you know what I mean)

But for MPJ I'm not taking him in the top 6

Top 5 pick I wouldnt risk, but anything after that is fair game imo. You do it knowing there is a chance he might never be healthy but also knowing he has the most upside in the draft.

Tough call.

I would take him if I’m the Knicks, keep him out till Christmas then play him limited minutes and slowly build his minutes up as the season progresses, Knicks should be thinking about 2019 anyway Porzingis might not be happy but they could walk into next summer with a top 5 pick, a ton of cap space and if Porter makes it through unscathed then a potential superstar wing ready to take it to another level

That's not bad

I think they are thinking about 2019 already.

The issue with Porter is you dont know what you're getting so you dont know what you're risking. Everything has been so secretive and no team has been able to do a legit medical check on him.

I mean I wouldnt mind drafting Porter and him not playing for a year or two if he turns into Simmons or Embiid. The issue though is that his medical issues might be way worse and we would never know cause of the way his team has kept medical staffs away.

But like I said, I dont like the idea of risking a pick but I wouldnt be mad if the Knicks risk the 9th pick.
