There's definitely something to be said about how visceral the reaction is to any perceived slight. But it's also not just a Black people thing

I am kinda curious what they're going to do with Shuri. Will she be the lead of BPIII with the movie handing the mantle over to Tchalla 2 and ending her story. Or will continue to use her? BP has been an Avenger, but he never really got to commit to that fully because of his responsibilities as king of Wakanda. Having two active BPs kinda solves that problem.

This relationship stretches back centuries. Back when horse racing was still popular that was a real available means to live a more humane life if not outright buy your freedom .

There isnt a people with a comparable relationship to entertainment in US history

Not to discredit what you're saying because I agree with you, but I actually tried to look up what percentage of wealth black americans got their money from the Entertainment industry. Surprisingly, the majority of Black people that 1M or more net worth got their money from corporate leadership, healthcare, business services, and tech entrepreneurship. I'm actually surprised by that. I thought Entertainment would have been at the top of the list, but I guess it makes sense if the bar is at 1M.
