The show takes Mushrooms rumor that Alyn is Corlys Velaryon son and makes it confirmed fact. I think technically they're biologically half uncle and half niece. The book has it publicly as first cousins but rumored as the half uncle and half niece

Still nasty.
:df4:

I hope they didn’t shoehorn that shit I’m just to create tension between Alyn and Addam.

Nah, that comes straight out of the book. I still don't know how I feel about it. It depends on how they use that relationship going forward. I can think of some interesting things they could do with it. I could also see them not utilizing it at all, in which case I'd be disappointed.

Why did people hate Cole so much?
He's the bitch of bitches. Was mad about his feelings being hurt by Rhae, then proceeded to prove his bitch status by turning on Rhae because he was too (Doug) funny to be real about his feelings. Then he made every excuse to justify him being a traitor by doing all the same stuff he hated Rhae for.

Prolly cuz he violated his oath and then acted like Rhaenyra made him do the shit, then started acting like a bitch when she refused to give up the throne to run away from him to sell oranges or whatever the fuck. Then spent the rest of his life raging against her for being unethical and immoral...while doing the same things did with Rhaenyra with Alicent. Then proceeded to be used as a human dildo while the king's first born son, the heir to the throne, was getting his head cut off. And then instead of looking in the mirror like a man and reevaluating his life, he took that frustration out on another nigga and made him go kill his own twin brother.

He's basically the avatar for every spineless nigga walking around today who can't takes responsibility for his own actions and blames a woman for ruining his life.

Or whatever.

In that case, they could have built up the relationship more. They could have given at least a couple of other scenes of them together with some innuendo included. Them only sharing one scene together where they barely talked to each other then going straight to fucking is weird.

Nah, I think they built up the relationship to the extent they wanted to build it up. If they had built it up more - like showed scenes of them being around each other more and fucking more and laughing and eating and just enjoying each others company, etc - then Cole's anger and feeling of being taken advantage of would have made sense. But they didn't want it to make sense. They wanted it to be weird.

If it made senes why Cole was that invested, then it would be a poor reflection on Rhaenyra. But they made it NOT make sense, so it reflects poorly on Cole.

So yeah, we all agree with you. But that's not bad writing. That's really good writing.

To me anyway.
