Freestyle Jay-Z Sends Shots At Drake, Kanye, Nicki & Dame In New Freestyle

Man, I remember when it first started rumbling that Jay was going to be a billionaire, all these people were talking about "Black Excellence." I said that it was nothing to be proud of and people called me a hater. Now some of those same people are bitching about Jay doing the kinda things you pretty much have to do to become a billionaire. The exact things that led to me saying it was nothing to be proud of.

It's similar to the reaction Swizz and Timbaland got over selling Verzuz and them trying to sell them getting paid as a win for all Black people. Jay being a billionaire is a win for him. But as I've said before I think millinials are the last generation to be raised with the idea that representation and a "seat at the table" is a win for everyone. People ain't buying that like they did in the past. Especially when you see how some of the money is made in a time when folks are struggling to make ends meet

I also think of his verse on "moment of clarity" from the black album where he says how can I help them when I'm one of them, and then says a win for him is a win for everyone, only for this to apply to only a select few

Love Jay as a rapper but that's where it stops

I also think the bold is an interesting twist in this age of super stan wars. Alot of people now consider themselves fan of the person even more than their product. And feel like they gotta be in agreement with every single move that an artist they enjoy makes. So that group struggles with the idea that somebody can entertain them one moment then say or do something they disagree with the next. They take it as a judgement against themselves.

to me, its finding out wrestling is fake

if you can still watch knowing that and be entertained, by all means, do it

if you can't, that's ok. Find something else to enjoy and you dont have to shit on the people that still can find enjoyment in it despite knowing it's staged.

The Biggs did shoot his brother. While we would love for anybody rich famous and black to be socially conscious. Being rich in the US ain’t about social consciousness
