Cody needs to be a heel because the crowds are getting restless about it. They did the same shit with Sami. That's why he started getting boo'd. Fans started to boo Sami when it felt like he was insterting his pitty on Trick and Melo. Sami schemed his way to the US Title and then he schemed his way to Mani. he got legitimat heat from the crowds for that and it worked. Cody has already had multiple runs where the crowds were booing him. They did it when Cena was on his farewell tour and they did it when he was feuding with Randy.

Cody doesn't have the title now so this is the perfect time to have him repackaged as a heel. It has to be some overt heel shit though.

i’m not against a cody heel turn, just the idea of someone turning heel on cody AGAIN is tired

Cody will turn heel when it matters the most and it will be a big deal. There is a difference with that situation because ever since AEWs start Cody been fighting turning to the dark side and in WWE he is back in that position so it will be special when he does turn. Cody a genius when it comes to this wrestling shit, he knows it will be a big moment that doesnt need rushed.

Punk turning heel is his main bag, thats what he is flawless at and he has been a face for 3 years not including his AEW run.... oh it's coming sooner then fall.
