2026 NBA Offseason Thread

I can see lamelo on the wolves working. They didn't give up much for him. Only issue is once you pay him and the shit don't work out, you're fucked.

Good move on paper though

Boston might have really fucked up

Regardless of how they went out in the playoffs they still had a very good team and formula that would win then a ton of games and Tatum pretty much missed majority of the year

Its not like they needed to do anything drastic, healthy Tatum and a couple of moves around the margin and they could've won the East again

Now they might have ruined a good thing
I heard brown requested a trade weeks ago though so idk for sure

It was either this or move ant from being unhappy

I wonder how the two will vibe with each other

It’s the world’s most ignorant backcourt but it’s two types of ignorant

It’s the time for Lamelo to turn into the player that I hoped he would be so it’s time to grow up show it

I have no idea how good the wolves will be though

Isn't he kinda ball dominant though? You don't think him and Ant will clash? I don't mean personalitywise but moreso about what they need to be effective.

The wolves are gonna be entertaining losers.

This is their window closing

If this doesn't work and kind of fast Ant is definitely leaving

Minnesota was desperate to make a deal like this....went after Jaylen Brown, KD, Giannis ect

Hopefully this was the right move for them

Wizards better

The more and more I think about Washington the more concerned I am versus being positively intrigued

Me and @Freeman kind of were talking about this yesterday

On paper the names and talent are there for this to be an exciting team

But Trae Young has to be in a spread pick and roll system to be at his best and maximize what he does well

So if you are starting

Trae
Kyshawn George
AJ Dybantsa
Davis
Sarr

I really dont know how this works with no shooting and what people are going to be doing if Trae has the ball all the time....and if he doesnt have the ball all the time why did you just give him that contract?

Also if you're trying to be a serious basketball team why are you keeping Brian Keefe?

Like I said on paper the team is talented and looks interesting but Im very skeptical about how this all come together and works....I have to see it first and not giving them the benefit of the doubt and just assuming this going to be a good team

Trae has guys that can run the floor, lob threats and shooting. I think they’ll be fine.

The good thing is they are both good to great shooters so they can make it work.

Edwards imo can play well without the ball. All he needs is to get the ball and 5 seconds to make something happen if the offense is stalling.

I think the skillsets mesh well.

Its all about them wanting to make it work imo
