Simba and Nala had the same father

In the movie, there are only 3 males: Mufasa, Scar and Simba. There is one scene where kid Simba wakes up Mufasa, while he's sleeping with every other female ever.

This is the reason why Scar wanted to take the throne: the reproduction. And according to Lion King 2, he succeeded. Hyenas were just a liability.
