Mattresses

Don't go cheap on mattress. Also, you dont have to spend over 10k for a mattress to find comfort. I spent around $2700.

The mattress game has changed though. I got my mattress about 2 years ago. Prior to that, it was like 10years before I got the new bed. When you start going into the stores, they give you survey about your sleep patterns. I was expecting to just try every bed until I found the one I liked. These mattresses have gotten sophisticated, so they have to ask a bunch of questions

And some of them sales people are relentless like a muthafucca. Lol

What attracted it to you? The cooling, moveability (bouncing), all the above or something else? It seems to be people either hate purple or love it
Definitely the cooling is the top reason because I can't sleep well hot. I typically sleep on my side or stomach and it has the right amount of firmness support. I don't feel like I'm sinking into the mattress (I hate that).

Same with the sinking. That's why I don't like tempur pedic

I really liked the cooling from purple but I liked the grid

Hmmm

I'm in the market for a new mattress as well and have been told I'm a furnace at night
I would like something to help keep me cool

I wanna say both. It'll automatically adjust according to how you're laying while sleeping. So if it senses that you've been laying in one position for a certain period of time (like on your side for example), it'll adjust to your body. But you can also save your setting and add to your favorites in the app. The comfort setting goes up to 100. The higher the setting, the more firm the mattress will get.

I think the errors come in if I'm shifting frequently in bed. Or if me and my s/o happens to roll over on each other's side...then it'll do the best it can to adjust. The app does a good job tracking all that. We've had it since we moved in our house back in 22'.

app for a mattress???

Give me a pillow rec
I mean pillow cases. I got some mulberry park silk pillow cases that I really like

You can get some actual pillows designed for cooling. I've actually thought about that as well and need to look into it. I'm currently looking into blankets that should help
