Dude was a legend. One of the greatest ever. The connection to the fans, the emotional investment. The passion... Shit is just top tier.

Drake's cool. He makes cool music. But I can't ever say anything he ever did garnered the kinda attachment to me personally. Like the prayers on his albums alone just taps into a different space for me when it comes to music. Drake gotta lotta hits, but he don't got that.

I went to that concert and DMX’s energy was just different. Haven’t seen anything like it before or since. Dude literally had an entire arena praying with him. At a rap concert. Women, street dudes, regular dudes. White, black, Spanish etc. People were crying, screaming, reciting every word. Experience like no other and I been to over 30 concerts in my lifetime.
DMX is the better rapper. I voted X
Drake has had the better career though, his longevity and staying power is only second to Jay-Z and that’s beginning to be debatable
 
Is hard to compare these two. Drake is known for making love songs.
Meanwhile, there are people out there that heard “Slippin” while they were suicidal and depressed that got hope from that song.

Kinda reminds me of the Wire vs Power discussions....

Power had more seasons, spin offs, and is very trendy with the fashion, the style, and has way more female fans.

But the Wire is more gritty and real.

Drake is Power

I think the Wire was the better show.
