If the deal makes sense sure. But to use an NFL analogy it’s like having an oline man that can play multiple positions on the line, even if he won’t be around for the next good iteration of the team, it’s hard to give up someone that valuable.

It’s the same thing

They both should be on better teams but the team and fans keep holding onto him

He does nothing for a bad team

And his value goes down as the years press on

He just there to give you 11 and 9, bad FT shooting, a forearm shiver and good defense

Let that man go to a team where he can thrive as the 5th best player
 
Nets should be in pure assest collection mode and taking on as much bad money as humanly possible, the win loss record shouldn't even matter

Not a single player on that roster should be looked at as untouchable or off limits

Become the leagues dumping ground for shitty contracts especially next year

This will be like a 2-3 year process of rebuilding but it would be worth it imo

Net fans went from hoping for Flagg to hoping for a top 4 pick, now they gonna be a dumping ground for Embiid type contracts and looking forward to being decent in 2029
