lol fam where he lived was not conducive to a peaceful life. They had random assaults in the streets, people having mental breakdowns etc. Even if wheelchair lady never approached him just him living in that area it was only a matter of time before he snapped and fucked somebody up
So this was him officially turning the page from revenge to protector. Sets up his role in Spider-Man nicely as he’d need a new motivation to serve in that capacity. This definitely opens him up to be involved in a wider range of story lines.
