... Um, I spent something like $60 at an Ethiopian spot I checked out with a broad a few years ago.
 
@Duwop said something a few years ago that has stuck with me but it was along the lines of paying to have a good time instead of the date

And I started looking at dating in a whole different lens after that

Even if the date was a dud, I had fun for those couple of hours and so I never tripped on the total tab
 
I usually keep it under a $100. Only time I went over was when I did a first date at Top Golf.

I usually plan an activity and food on a first date. Stuff that we both would enjoy. I text them several suggestions for what we can do as a date and let them pick from those suggestions. Works all the time.

If you dont know how to plan properly, you are gonna spend a lot.

This. I'ma have a good time regardless. I'ma eat good. Drink good. And HOPEFULLY enjoy some good company. But it's really just a reason to look fly and go out and have a good night.

Who gives a fuck how much it costs.

It’s saying even if shorty never wants to see me again and I wasted all this money I never would’ve spent on myself in one outing, it doesn’t matter because I had a good time.

This is the exact opposite of what I said and the advice he took.
Your reading comprehension is extremely low.

My whole original point he took was that since YOU are paying, do something YOU want to do....

That way you have a good time regardless, and if she likes it she now knows what kinda shit you in to and what to expect when going out with you.

If you going somewhere just to impress her and it's some shit you don't even like THAT'S when it becomes a waste of money...

But if it's something you been meaning to do, or a place you've been thinking about trying out, and the date gives you an opportunity to do something you've been looking forward to doing anyway... It changes the scope of the outing.... Even if the date herself is a flop, the overall experience will still be worth it cuz you got to try out or do something you've been meaning to get around to.

It's kinda like if you go on a work luncheon some where and you go, "damn, I like this spot, I gotta bring a shorty here"
Then months later you meet a chick

"Hey I know a good spot I've been meaning to get back to, let's check it out together"

That way even if the chick you with doesn't like it, it's not a wasted experience.

I'm my 20's I used to always take my first dates to the same pizza spot cuz I really liked going there. I would sometimes even go by myself. But I always took dates there.

A lotta the chicks didn't care for it, and I didn't care that they did.

My wife loved it, and we're still together almost 20 years later.

The other chick that really liked it, that would actually call me sometimes to see if I would take her... She still goes there to this day. It's a cool spot. Not for everybody, but if it's someone I'm talking to...I would prefer they have a good time there too.

Every chick who didn't like it, is literally fog in the back of my head. Already forgotten.

Now I know this makes too much sense for you, but someone will read it and get something from it. Even if it's not your dumb ass
