Watching Finding Your Roots and Lavar Burton’s great great grandfather was one of the 3 first black men elected to office just after emancipation.

Then new laws under reconstruction suppressed the black vote and none of them were able to seek reelection.

But people still think voting and having representation wasn’t important enough to keep it from happening today.

Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it I guess.

And I answered your question. Elections have been won for more than a century now without reparations being given. So it's pretty clear it can be won or lost without it. So removing yourself further limits your power especially as they are being legally stripped away. And hinders any chances you have of the multitude of other things that affect your life improving.

Ever since the MAGA Supreme Court gutted the VRA. These YT MAGA Republican typeshave been feeling they can get away with being more reckless with what they say.. Yet some people just like 6 months before the last important election want blacks to only focus only on Israel.. And not on ICE starting to target more & more black immigrants/migrants or black folks in the South losing the ability to be properly represented at the federal by their chosen black representatives…

The issue people keep highlighting for you is the single issue vote but it's not going to be that simple

You will have to give up something to get reparations. I'm not sure why you don't realize that. It will come at the expense of something else. They not just gonna fund it along with their other priorities. Now can they do it? Absolutely. But they won't. You think they gonna tax the rich to do it? Nope, but they will tax the middle class (you) even more. You think they gonna stop military spending? Nope, but they will reduce the amount of tax deductions you can have, etc... Let me be specific, the only way this might happen and you won't feel the pinch or stab is of Democrats do it but you damn sure ain't getting shit from Republicans.

Ain’t no noise about reparations. That’s your algorithm creating an echo chamber and you believe it’s bigger than it really is.

Right now, reparations is way down the list on priorities for black people thanks to Trump. It might have been higher right now had he not gotten elected. But that logic is lost on y’all.

You can't even comprehend what's being said to you in terms of the criticism of your pov.
