In terms of what? This season has been awful

Long term though I know we can still pivot and salvage things
I guess I never view things as championship or bust.

I don't think Houston took a step back but they've had a series of unfortunate events and they could've easily given up and really wasted this year by ending up at the back of the lottery cause they weren't bad enough to tank but not good enough to get a non play in seed.

But I guess it really goes back to how you were going to define this season as successful

Rockets fans didnt view this season as championship or bust

Its disappointing because the front office failed to adapt and adjust to the circumstances surrounding the team

I hear you but I also don't think you can just assume that if they made a deal at the break, they would be any better off

Now I understand your frustration they didn't go out and get a PG when a few of them were practically being given away. I think that's a legitimate gripe but I also understand management thinking they were ok enough to where they could divide ball handling duties to other players on the roster

Its safe to assume that if we would've made a move to add some sort of point guard/ball handler we would've been better off

Thats the point of the frustration

Fred got hurt weeks before the season started.....if the front office felt like they wanted to see how things looked with what we had and if we could do the whole point guard by committee thing thats cool, they even had a legitimate built in excuse to not do anything because we were basically stuck with what we had until January anyway

After 2 months of the regular season you have a large enough sample size and collected enough to data to see that its not working and you need to address this glaring hole in the roster

Trading for 37 year old Kevin Durant means every year matters and you have to maximize the time he has here. Nobody is saying if we got a point guard we would be on our way to the championship....we're saying give yourself a chance and increase your odds of success in general

I feel you now b

Thanks for expounding

I swear everything that could go wrong involving KD coming to this team has went wrong and it’s entertaining as hell.

Gentlemen, it’s been an honor and privilege to be in the trenches with you. After tonight, idk what the coalition will look like. Here’s to many more battles @southsil4lil @AZTG @Ironman @cj012890
