WWE WrestleMania 42 (4/18/26 - 4/19/26)

Added to Calendar: 04-18-26, 04-19-26

IDK why but I always mess with SummerSlam over Wrestlemania.

Oh yeah Lash Legend is one fine woman. Trick Williams is a lucky ass ninja lol

Night 1 was terrible. The lack of house shows and the directionless builds were on full display. I thought I was tripping when the commercials came on. I don’t remember commercials to this level.

They was on some bs when it showed you that it was gonna be 4mins of commercials. But once that countdown finished...they dropped 3 FUCCIN MORE commercials. Smh

Cody vs Randy wasn't a bad match. It was a slow cooker but it was a good match. But TKO involvement soured it. I like that this feud/storyline is gonna continue. WWE has a chance to right this wrong. Hace this feud develop the right way. I rather it be at SS.

It wasn’t horrible, but clearly Mania isn’t special anymore. Feels like just another PLE. Don’t get me wrong, being there live last year was and felt like a huge deal. Doesn’t translate on TV tho.
Last year had a bit more to it live. People weren't Cody fatigued yet (which I genuinely dont get why they are now). Cena was there. Travis Scott was there. The anticipation of expecting The Rock to show up. The matches weren't rushed.

The crowd was super weird yesterday. Cody was a bit edgier and they still booed. When people tried to cheer Cody people made it a mission to make the boos louder than the cheers. Even during Jacob Fatu vs Drew McIntyre parts of the crowd tried to hijack the show.

Yesterday there was a whole row of people clearly from Chile supporting Stephanie Vaquer. They had a big ass sign that took up the whole row. We could see the live broadcast on screen and they got absolutely no camera time during her entrance.

Last year the stage was setup way better too. They had the floating visuals which were used to showcase Roman's bloodline during his entrance. Which im sure people aren't considering when talking about the downgrade from last year.

You can tell when its night in Alligient Stadium. Last year the main events occurred while it was dark. It made shit pop more. We didnt get that yesterday. It legit felt like a "Hurry up and get this done" Wrestlemania. Like "Damn I just got here and its over already?" We got the credits running on screen in the arena. Not sure if yall heard it on TV but we booed the shit out of night 1.

The original pitch for what evolved into Pat McAfee's role at Wrestlemania 42 was quite different, PWInsider.com can confirm.

PWInsider.com is told that a pitch for Orton's WrestleMania role back in January involved SmackDown star Aleister Black tormenting Orton, trying to bring out the old Apex Predator version of Orton. The idea was that if Black succeeded, it would prove Orton had never changed or evolved and was still the old Orton deep inside. We are told the idea was that Black and Orton would face off Mania weekend, with Orton would hesitate to use his punt kick and likely lose, but then later attack Cody Rhodes as a Wrestlemania angle, using the punt to bring back the old Apex Predator and prove Black right all along.

It's unclear how far the pitch progressed through WWE's creative process, but echoes of the original plan appear in Pat McAfee's role, including the return of the Apex Predator and Orton punting Cody with the kick at Wrestlemania. So, at some point, McAfee's role effectively replaced the pitched version featuring Black.

Black worked The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on Smackdown this week.

This would have been a million times better than what we got. Probably would have had a Cody/Drew/Jacob main event outta this.

Drew likely would have never dropped the title.

So basically TKO heard this idea and said “you know what would make this better??? Pat McAfee in the spot that was for Alliester Kross!!! Oh what about Alliester you say? Y’all still do those Andre rumbles????😀

I enjoyed night 1. It lacked epic moments, but it was still fun.

Kinda crazy that survivor series had like 44k in attendance. Thats not too far from wmn1

Night 2 got a chance to restore the feeling if they do it right.

Ya know with as short as these matches were last night we might as well had a one night Mania if they didn’t have so many fuckin ads.

Night 1 was always gonna be brought down by that Orton/Rhodes match they needed those other matches to really deliver for it to be good but night 2 has the matches im looking forward to the most
