Jalen Johnson saved them lol but I really don't even fault the Hawks for taking the guy they wanted in a weak and suspect draft. Should they have just drafted bpa and taken Sarr in hindsight and not worry about him not wanting to be there? Of course, but thats why you need to have multiple bites at the apple and other directions you can pivot to in case something doesnt workout and not be locked into one player that might not be it but you end up having to pay anyway

If they didnt hit on Jalen Johnson the Rishacher pick would've set them back like 3-4 years

I mean it kinda serves them right because they weren’t supposed to have the #1 pick anyways that year

So it kinda balances out

So yeah now remembering that about the hawks I don’t even really mind if Risacher is a bust

He’s actually playing like the player they would’ve taken like I think it was 10th or something they were projected at

And it’s funny when you watch a game and Newell and Risacher are out there I literally can’t tell which one is which because they the same color AND had the same hair lol

But Newell >>> CMB 😤

Matas should be the only lock on their roster at this point

If you trying to make him, Giddey and player x your foundation you might as well have kept Artuas

They need a GM to come and tear this whole thing down to the studs and do a full rebuild

Have to remember whoever is coming in didn't trade for Giddey and might not be as high on him as the previous regime
