gucci is a 46 year old middle aged business man who has been legit now longer than he has been in the streets..i saw him perform icey live when it first came out in 04/05..how are his fans with any sense expecting him to move at this point in life. esp when shit on camera
 
At what point does a trap rapper transition from rapper to full time businessman? Is there an official timeline?

Do the sins of the past automatically go away because he switched lanes?

Can he still perform songs like Truth and be only considered a businessman?

Shiesty's pops is the worst father of all time. How do you rent cars for your son to go attempt to do some shit like this? Furthermore, I feel like Pop was a loser by comparison and amped his son up to go do a drill, and said, "Shit, I'll slide with you!" to make it seem more official. Hell, I would say he probably hyped up the sense of entitlement because as an ex-con how do you make millions NOT WORKING FOR YEARS and say, "Nah, fuck this nigga. I need to get away. I'm a his ass if he don't let me out the contract! Hell, I'm a rob his ass if he do!"

Spinning the narrative like Gucci a lame because he didn't sip the lean, get Waka, and OJ to get his lick back is double lame.

This a question for all. After they go to jail, would you still keep them signed to your label if you were Gucci mane? To keep what ever deal you had and collect the money? Probably out of spite or maybe another reason. Or would you just release them from the deal to prevent any drama that may or may not happen. By drama, I mean like them being possibly dumb enough to make orders on a jail phone to get at Gucci? Another option would be to sell sheisty's catalog to someone else.

Even further, is Gucci's label independent? Or is under another label then another label?
So they do this to Gucci, was the plan to do this same thing to another executive?
Or have Gucci make them sign some shit?

Well, I was more so asking what would yall do if yall were Gucci mane. Would you still keep him signed? Potential still making money off his catalog. Or would you release him to erase him from your life and to possibly avoid any future drama?

I think it's a catch 22 if Gucci released him, sold his contract to someon else, or not. Think about it, if Gucci released him then people will say that he isn't real and didn't hold him down while he was locked up. These folks gon find a way to complain about something, but not holding these rappers accountable for signing the contract

Why would he hold a nigga down that tried to rob him and not getting out of jail anytime soon?

I think a lot of people are really over estimating the worth of whatever catalog pooh may have
