In their complaint, the DOJ claims the incident went down January 10 ... when they allege Shiesty invited three music industry pros to the Dallas studio to discuss his contract. Shiesty was previously signed to Mane's 1017 label.

The DOJ claims Shiesty and his alleged co-conspirators "executed an armed takeover" ... during which they say Shiesty forced one of the alleged victims to sign a release form at gunpoint, which letting him out of his recording contract.

Photos released by the DOJ show injuries one person allegedly suffered during the incident.

Federal officials say Shiety and his crew stole Rolex watches, jewelry and cash from their alleged victims.
