2025-26 NBA Season Thread: Back to Agenda Watching!

The only thing
You know how much you gotta suck for your team to trade you for non all star CJ McCollum and they are much better? Lol

Addition by subtraction

Hawks have also done a really good job of building around Jalen Johnson and getting the right pieces around him

Alexander Walker and his contributions are criminally underrated

lol I was going to say “addition by subtraction” but it’s so cliche I couldn’t say it but yeah I recognized last night

even though technically they underachieved this season, shoutout to the hawks for cutting dead weight in Trae, getting rid of porzingis, and bringing in other players that are helping with this playoff push

It’s good management throughout the season

Also they gave NAW the opportunity to elevate himself as a player

Man you know what it is

I don't even think they underachieved...I think things have gone how they wanted and they were prepared

Coming into the season they didnt have Trae on a new deal......so they were basically giving this one more chance and bringing in guys like KP and Alexander Walker to do everything possible to give this a real legitimate shot at working

It didn't and they didnt waste time pivoting which they knew was going to be a possibility so they handled it well and now they playing with house money

Ive said before that Atlanta and Indina have two of the more underrated and shrewed front offices in the league

I only say underachieved because many (myself included) had the hawks as a top 4 seed coming in

But yeah and we’ll see how that Zubac deal goes for the pacers to see how shrewd that was lol

I did too but this is a completely different iteration of what this team was expected to be

That's probably the number 1 thing Im interested in watching lottery night

If the pick is 1-4 Pacers keep it...anything else goes to the Clippers, they could end up with the 5th pick

Watching that unfold is going to wild

I see what you’re saying and it’s hard to give push back but if you just say clean cut are the hawks going to end the season where ppl thought they would be coming in?

The answer is no

But if you then get into nuances and how this is a new team and things reset at the deadline and blah blah blah then yeah I know what you mean

I’m just speaking in a very basic way when it comes to underachieving

I saw a crazy stat last night during the game

Rockets have used the least amount players in the league this season....15 lmaoo

Next was Miami with like 17

lol well that’s kinda good depending on how you look at it

Less players used means you didn’t have to go outside the org too much and the injuries you suffered weren’t so devastating that you had to sign random guys or make trades or pull from the G league

BUT in the rockets case it is bad because they don’t have good players playing for Rio grande that’s worth a call up for a two way, they DID have various injuries, AND their bench is ass

So that’s what makes it bad lol

Thats fair...they underachieved as far as initial expectations for the team coming into the season when it comes being a contender but I mean their over/under was like 46.5-47.5 wins.....they got 44 now.....most people had them around 4th in the conference, they're sitting at 5th currently

They've had an absurdly easy schedule during this recent run but they are in a great situation

Exactly

You only played 15 players all season and like have of them are actually NBA rotation players

Finney Smith, Jeff Green, Aaron Holiday, Jaesean Tate and JD Davidson being 33% of your manpower used throughout the course of a season is beyond gross

Me too

I have nothing against the Pacers but I need it for the fuckery and for Adam Silver to be mad as hell
lol I got nothing against the pacers either but I’m really thinking from the perspective that I been waiting for the clippers to be a young team for what feels like a decade

Garland
Brown
Christie
Mathurin
Niederhauser
Isaiah Evans

Then add a guy like wagler

And then hopefully they void Kawhi deal and send Beal to Siberia

All of a sudden the clippers are more interesting

BUT yes I do understand at the same time the clippers don’t deserve this after circumventing the cap so wouldn’t be upset if they don’t get the pick either
