At this point, I’m pro trading paolo for GiannisI was listening to Simmons pod when he has Kirk Goldsberry on last week.
They were talking about how Orlando's aggressiveness in the Giannis trade talks were massively underreported and they're going to be one of the main teams going hard for him again this summer after they flame out in the playoffs

"The conversation between the current generation of the NBA and the past has always divided fans and former players. But in recent years, it has become impossible to ignore due to the constant criticism players from the previous generation level at the league today.
The root of that tension continues to be debated, but for NBA legend Tracy McGrady, it is much simpler than most people think: it comes down to the increase in salary in today’s NBA and how it has changed much of the narrative.
“It’s money. Did you realize like in the 90s, Reggie Miller and Michael, they were only making $2-3 million? And they were the top guys,” T-Mac said when asked why the previous generation criticizes the state of the NBA today.

It only seems to happen in the nba and its kinda wack.Definitely a factor. I always thought it was more about pride though. People forget. Wilt used to trash the 80s and 90s and claim he'd average 100. It seems there are always players that want to trash other eras to make their era and by connection themselves look better.
