2025-26 NBA Season Thread: Back to Agenda Watching!

Added to Calendar: 10-21-25

NO is not a great basketball city but even then when they’re competitive their fans show up. Smoothie King is a smaller venue so the numbers might look skewed, Memphis supports the Grizzlies just a few years ago that place was excited for Grizzlies basketball. Both of these teams are bad right now.

Why is moving them good for the league?

Because they're are better and more viable markets and a better ownership group would do more with that franchise if located elsewhere

Its not like Im talking about making a lateral moving and moving them somewhere else where they wouldn't do well or a city that doesnt deserve it....Im talking about moving a struggling franchise to one of the best basketball cities in the country thats a proven market.

You dont think that would be good for the league?

Like what city? St Louis will never get an NBA team due to the ABA merger. Vancouver didn't work, KC didn’t work, SD etc I can go on. Mexico City is risky.

Sacramento to Seattle

Some one else to St. Louis or KC

Sacramento has shit ownership but they have a very solid and supportive fan base

I think the league does good in these cities that have nothing else going on as far as sports go....San Antonio, Orlando, Sacramento, Salt Lake

I really think that Vegas team is going to struggle...its going to be the 4th most popular team in a weird market

I'm looking at Sactown as a destination that no free agent is gonna wanna go there, so they will always be an afterthought in Cali. Their biggest accomplishment is crying about a rigged game decades ago against the Lakers. Lack of talent plays a part in poor ownership. They have great fans imo, that ain't enough to deserve a franchise. Plus, moving them may get that shitty owner up outta there.

Is there a chance we get into the playoffs and realize the Hawks are this years Pacers team from last season?

Maybe not to that extent because they dont have someone like Haliburton.....but an awkard quirky team, multiple guys who can score, defensive versatility, depth, offense can put up points, got hot in the second half of the season

Atlanta is 2-1 against Boston with one more game to go too btw

Imagine fans in vegas

It’s a small population and a lot of people there are visiting

Then you have to compete with other sports teams
