For those who have asked, the consensus among WWE sources we have spoken with it is that Oba Femi is expected to be the person who steps up to challenge Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 42.

We've had some who have asked about the potential of it being GUNTHER, but no one we've spoken with believes that could be the direction. That said, we've seen WWE already pivot their Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre plans, but the general belief from those we've spoken believe Femi vs. Lesnar is the current plan.

Prior to his appearance on WWE NXT last night, William Regal has not been seen at the WWE Performance Center in some time. We are also told he had been off the road for the main roster for an extended period of time, so this was his first appearance at a WWE event in any capacity in some time. The expectation is that he and Dave Finlay will be appearing regularly on NXT going forward.

The following former WWE ID talents are now listed internally as official NXT talents, PWInsiderElite.com can confirm, so their signings were legitimate and not storyline:

Blackheart, 29, is originally from The Dominican Republic and was trained by CCW in Florida. She has been performing since 2024.
