Don’t need much explanation on this group. I’ve seen a ton of Chris Cornell fans in here already. May he rest in peace.
Another one of my favorite bands that I own albums by. Loved their messages in the music also. Sadly a lot of folks just hear Serj being loud, but not what he is talking about in most of the songs.

Loved this band. I was put on to them by the group listed below from Spotify
These guys and Bad bad not good are so good!!! Listening to them and Fela and Femi Kuti really put me on to a lot of different types of music.
Amen.Probably my 2nd favorite rock band of all time. I have hella love for this group and their lead singer, Zach. Loved that they always talked about real ass things in their music. It’s hilarious how so many people love them and are the exact opposite of what they were about. The music was always dope, but the message kept me a fan and always listening to them.
It would be cool to have more bands or musicians like them and System of a Down to be super popular these days.Amen.
I watched the doc on Woodstock 99 not too long ago and they (rage against the machine) were in it, but also made me forget how anti corporate, anti system, anti sellout all genres of music used to be back then even mainstream wise.
Anybody ever have that experience in high school where you liked some white stuff but you hid that fact because you didn't want to catch hell for it only to find out that everybody else liked it too and were doing the same thing you were? lol
There was only a handful of kids that would openly admit to liking anything guitar related in middle school and high school in Detroit. Up north it was rather common to like just about everything but not in The City.
Shit anything even remotely perceived as being "white" was kept under wraps in school unless the majority fucked with it (i.e. Michael McDonald, Wham/George Michael, Hall and Oates, Lisa Stansfield, etc).
