Under the Florida House bill, residents wouldn’t be able to register to vote unless the state Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles database can verify their citizenship, or until the applicant provides proof of citizenship. The bill would also require the state to verify the citizenship status of all existing registered voters whose legal status has not already been verified.

You make it expensive and untenable to remain for citizens all while chastizing the immigrants that come to work for a better life.
You end up with your locals leaving and the immigrants that are trying to come and stay say fuck it ill go somewhere else..
that doesnt leave you with a workforce. that leaves you with an ageing population and the younger folks getting the fuck outa dodge for greener pastures
