COMMUNITY ABW Travel/Vacation thread: 2026 IS HERE YALL! We traveling or what?

Dope shit was it alot to do out there
Each spot is unique. I went in Oct 2021. I think I still have the itinerary.

Athens is filled with history. If you are into mythology, you will be walking through it. One of the oldest and largest cities in the world. Like a super NYC. It has a modern vibe mixed with ancient ruins and temples you can see as you drive through the city. Very busy. Some temples are still up like the Zeus temple. Food was good. Lots of places to shop. Museums was dope. A place to explore but not to relax. Pretty much has everything any big city has. I wouldnt suggest driving on your own. It is very intense. Easy to get around.

Mykonos is an island you have to get to by boat. Known as a party island. Has a good night life. Good beaches. You can relax here. Great architecture. Also has ruins and temples. Pretty flat. Great restaurants.

Santorini is another island. This island is a volcanic island. Has black sand beaches. Beautiful buildings. Great place to relax or adventure. Santorini is on an active volcano. They actually had to evacuate the island early last year due to hundreds of earthquakes. It's safe now. If you have problems walking, this is not the spot for you. It is on a mountain so you will deal with lots of inclines and declines. In fact, might want to get your cardio up before going here. A lot of buildings you see on the hills in pictures, you can only walk to. This place suffers from over crowding of tourism due to how popular it is. I think I enjoyed this place the most and then Athens. Due to the earthquakes last year, that led to less bookings, which means less crowds. Great views though. They have spots that get crowded because of the beautiful view to see the sun set. You can kind of see the sun moving (i know we revolve around the sun).

When I went, it was close to the end of their peak season. Due to that, lots of nightlife places on Mykonos were closed. But I dont party anymore, so I didnt care.

Word I’m still leaning towards royal Caribbean but adult only seems appealing

Oh so you wanna go on the senior retirement cruise huh? Lol!

I've been hearing good things about Virgin tho. That's gotta be my next trip hopefully next year

St Lucia is in the plans. That will be a family trip. The flight prices are dumb and dont make sense. Shit is like $1000 and up. Other countries around there are like $600 and up. My flight to Iceland was cheaper and farther.

Saint lucia was nice as hell. Depending on where your resort is at from the airport it is a roller coaster ride. I've never been car sick until I went there. Get something for motion sickness cause I was out of commission that first day, I also came in on a Friday and I missed the festival they have every Friday.

I dont get motion sickness. I have done off roading on sand dunes before , so I should be good.

7 nights on a cruise can get boring fast, lol. At least for me. Especially if your land stops only have you there for hours and not over a day. My last cruise, I made sure it was no more than 5 days and that we spent more than a day on land.

Yeah im wicha. Its a bit disappointing to make a stop and only have a couple hours there to see the sights before you gotta dip. Id prefer less stops with longer times as opposed to hitting a bunch of spots but not really getting to see shit

Them roads are a different type of beast. I also had private transfer to the resort though, Took about a hour and half to get there.Next time I go I'll be taking the chopper.

And Sulphur springs where you'll take the mud bath was nice. It's like 4 pots/stone tubs, the one to the far right is super hot but so relaxing. And the mud is cool you'll definitely need water once leaving. And depending on where you coming from you'll see jade mountain which is super nice and super expensive

@Infamous114 im seeing online it a lot of construction in Miami airport area and it can take a minute to get to the port.

I was thinking maybe getting there the night before we depart jus to be safe

Well the cruise departs May 25th like 5 pm from Miami. I was book my flight May 24th and get a room for a night.

I could get a flight on May 25th but I don’t manage time well
I'd have to be there atleast a day in advance, just so I wouldn't miss it. But I guess it depends on where you coming from as well
