The combative part I agree with 100%. If you have a different opinion, perspective on things try and explain yourself and your ideals.

Him posting right wing info, I have no issue with because if it isn’t offensive or disrespectful he should be able to.

If people think it is untrue they should do like I posted above to give reasons why they think this is the case.

Don’t get it twisted, I don’t agree with most of what he post, but I don’t think it is wise to have echo chambers here or anywhere.

If what he is posting is bullshit, show him why it’s bullshit.

Don’t just kick him out because his views are different. Especially if he isn’t being disrespectful, rude, or doing anything harmful.

I don’t know if he has done anything like that, but the little I seen he hadn’t. If he did do any of that, I understand why he got banned.

Kicking someone out because they have different points of view is wild though.
 
For the last time, he was not banned cause he had opposing views

He was disrespectful af unprovoked in most interactions and his inability to debate in good faith regardless of his opposing views was just extra

Being a contrarian is one thing, being a disrespectful contrarian is another

How you gonna tell someone who lost their grandparents to covid that it was their fault? That's just one example

He was being disrespectful and rude consistently tho. Now package that with him spamming topics often with misinformation, taking on some sort of villain/troll role to the point he was the most ignored user on the site and eventually you get a ban.

It's only as difficult to understand as you want to make it.

There hasn't been a single person that was banned that didn't deserve it. There isn't a single person that wasn't given countless chances to self correct

My interactions on here, even tho my views seem to be in the very small minority, are mostly respectful even if they get heated. Every now and then a poster will talk out the side of their neck rather than engage at all with the substance of the argument. When it gets obnoxious I stop engaging completely, but if I match the energy would I be wrong? Bc that appears to be what he was doing and he was getting it dished at a way higher rate than I was.

Matching energy will always be on a sliding scale for me

I think there are some instances where a rock has been thrown and then a tank round was sent in response and those will be dealt with on a case by case basis

But that's not what was happening with stuy

How long do you allow the spreading of misinformation to continue before it goes unchecked?
