Novel idea, I know, but using AI to do product comparisons is really ridiculous; you can 100% do that yourself. Using AI was absolutely unnecessary in that scenario. If anything, it's sheer laziness. And I'm not saying that to insult you so don't take it that way, but I see people doing shit like this and I'm like "did your own brain suddenly stop working for menial tasks???". I said this almost a year ago:

Well for one because that takes time when AI does it in seconds. You can call it lazy but it's just helping convenience. I'm not in school anymore but I could see AI as a game changer in that aspect

Ask it about a product and for reviews. You can ask it to analyze 10 different 20+min youtube review that saves you time

Why can't you just use the reviews from the people that are listed underneath the product?

There's been a huge amount of pushback in SE Michigan over a bunch of proposed AI datacenters. There was talk of at least 4 in my county alone with one of them being on U of M's campus. The politicians and utility companies are trying to be slick to get this shit pushed through without community input or even despite community input opposing it 'cause they know nobody wants them shits out here.

Saves time for what? What are you doing in your life that you're so overwhelmed that taking the time to read for yourself is too much of a burden???

I'll answer it for you: Nothing... Not one of us on this planet has so much going on that it requires us to use AI to think for us.

Watching youtube reviews and reading a bunch of articles and searching through reddit to find reviews about a product you're interested in vs having AI give you all that info in seconds...

Because YOU are not making the decision.

The act of gathering information and comparing it yourself stimulates the brain, it helps with retention and other functions. Even just talking to other people to get their input on whatever decision you want to make stimulates cognitive functions and keeps you from going into cognitive decline in the long run.

You can ask AI to gather the info and give you the differences. You then make the choice of which is better based on the info provided. Like I said.. that method has been used long before AI lol

A kid goes to his parents and asks for something and the parent says give me the info.. the kid gives everything and the parent chooses

A manager in a business is given info on whatever and makes a choice based on the info provided

A customer walks into a store and tells an employee what they want. The employee gives different products and what they offer. The customer makes the decision to buy whatever specific item

There are a lot of employees who are not doing it

I experienced that firsthand at my job where I was in a meeting with the secretary of the department and he was like, why can't we just put this in AI and let it figure it out. The room was silent as he was trying to showcase his usage of AI using his phone and it didn't yield the results he wanted plus he asked it something he could've just easily googled

He really asked AI who was the chairman of a committee in 2013.

The only thing I do know people are using AI for us taking notes on zoom but iirc, this feature was already a thing prior to the boom of AI

A kid talking to his/her parents is not the same as asking AI, nor are any of the examples you listed.
