I'm gonna make a main thread for the series. So far we've done:


Hitman
Tay Roc
Clips
Verb
 
IMO Verb is in the same category as Big T, X Factor, Rich Dolarz and them. He has more down years than up, took career crippling losses and is more a relic of his time than a legit GOAT like a Lux or a Hitman. The only difference is he still knows how to tap into the current algorithm via shenanigans and was able to get Mook and Lux in his later years. Swamp and a few ppl from his class has had more consistent years than him, and even Jaz and Ms Hustle have surpassed him.

I had to think for a minute, but he's been apart of more drama than he has accolades. He can absolutely snap though, but it's a sometimes thing. His class sort of hurt their long term reputations with things like no shows and under performing.

For better or worse JC may be in my top 10 because he showed up 99% of the time, despite the opponent. Same with DNA, I'm not even a fan but he's definitely top 10 all time.
 
I probably had Verb just outside of the top 10.. so it hurts what the later part of his career..Because last year.. IMO he had the line of the year w/ that “I had to lose what I love to chase what I'm supposed to have”.. But now you have question that.. But it doesn’t discredit that he was the leader of the MidWest movement.. And the fact he beat Mook & had close battle w/ Lux.. He agreeably 1-1 w/ 2 God Tier niggas.. So unless proof comes out that he’s been using ghostwriters throughout his career.. He’s still a MidWest legend.. And still can’t fully tell the full story of this era of battlerap w/o mentioning him…

I don't think anyone thinks verb has been using writers his whole career

The time frame seems to be around covid and afterwards

The lux and mook battles wasn't as impressive to me as others but if he retired right after that no one could question who was the Midwest goat after that

Verb or his writer was nice but he never made me feel like his shit was super crazy
Like I don’t sit there and be like how this nigga come up w this shit like I do w JC and Nitty and them
