The league is funny like that, now Milwaukee can possibly salvage Dieng and Cam Thomas into serviceable players because both of them give Milwaukee exactly what they've needed and been lookkng for....Athleticism, youth and scoring

This roster is a playin roster. Just look at the players from the top to the bottom. The talent level is clear. This is a 8-10 seed, maybe 7-8 if other teams fall out due to injuries or bad play

Yes I understand this and I get where you’re coming from but you can’t tell me if Tyler was available to be another ball handler and scorer preferably off the bench at this point would not make a difference for this team’s offense.

Not when Spo is running lineups at times where Jaquez is the best offensive option or engine of the lineup

I’ve seen Kasparas, Dru smith, Jaquez, and Jovic lineups

I’ve seen games where fontecchio is the best offensive option for a good amount of the game

I’m just saying I see how this team is evolving throughout the season and I do see why they think they can still compete

The schedule is weak too

Gardner has emerged as a very good role player and pound for pound probably our best rebounder on the team at only 6’5

If this team can actually be healthy for once and has roles established without change or just consistency I can see them being at a higher level than they have been the past hmm month

I’m not saying you’re wrong or that I disagree but I have a bit more context and I can see what they see

That’s all I’m saying

If....and its a big if because its a small sample size but if the Bucks are a healthy 8 seed with the added depth they would probably feel pretty good about playing Detroit in the first round tbh

Long term it the smart choice is go for the pick.....but I could understand from a competitive standpoint if they wanted to make a run

They have to go for a run if it means a chance for giannis to stay lol

It’s moot because giannis gonna get hurt in game 2 of the first round anyways
 
Really really quick All-Star comment

The game will be fine it just needs about 2-3 more years for certain players to be phased out

Let's say with Herro, y'all win 3 more games.

Remember defense won't be as good.

Idk what all this gives you. Like what does that do for the future.

How is that making y'all better for next season?

Where the improvements at.

With Herro, sure y'all could be a bit better but not enough to make a difference and not enough to continue staying as a treadmill team

Haberstroh made an interesting point of how leveling the odds for the first pick had unintentional consequences and that you actually can get pretty good value somewhere between 7-12 cause of how deep the drafts end up being and highlighting over the years some of the best players in the league have been drafted at the tail end of the lottery or outside of it completely

I think you are talking about something different than what I am talking about

I’m just referring to the mindset of the organization thinking they can be better than they have been this season

Thats the only thing I’m saying I’m kinda with them on

I’m not talking about not being a treadmill team or anything beyond the rest of the regular season my boy

The two things are inter related and can't be separated it.

But even if you separate them, I'm still saying Herro has never had that much of an impact. You might have 3 more wins with him playing more at max. I can't see any more.

But fuck it. Let's see if y'all make a push

I know I only pointed to Herro initially but it’s not really just Herro coming back = we should be better

If you care only for this season, then thats good enough.

My point is keeping this team as is and adding a few more wins and getting 4-6 games in the playoffs ain't doing shit for y'all and I'd be mad if my team was ok with it.
