Really depends how it's used. I grew up on black eyed peas in the rice but I think my mom uses fava beans now, I love a beef and black bean sauce on rice noodles from the Chinese spots, I love black beans on my shrimp burrito, rice and red beans from the Jamaican spots, chick peas are used to make hummus which is great, im sure there's a couple im missing but yeah.
