That's why they were giving season tickets away to fans who could make a free throw. Not a half court shot but a free throw.
Siakam is better with a center that can shoot but he's become a much more consistent 3pt shooter since he was a raptor so it can probably work.
pacers taking a huge gamble lol but it can work out
I assume you’re just iffy on the 2026 pick
I don't think zubac was the plan. I think they really just wanted to avoid paying Mathurin and did the best they could do to avoid him walking for nothing or potentially having to overpay. Its a few things
The gamble with the draft pick
The fit
The price
Im a big Zubac fan but the Pacers like to get up and down the court and the lack of a stretch element....with that being said he can give them some stuff offensively that they havent had before too
I almost feel like they could've just kept Turner if they were just going to turn around and give up assets for Zubac a year later.......I think they could've afforded to play thing out rest of the season, see where the draft pick lands since they were fortunate enough to get it back from the Pels anyway and then go from there
On the other hand seizing the opportunity to get talent in the door when you're team like Indiana and dont have the best history of getting free agents
