Ja will be alright. He and the coach are in a better place now than earlier in the season. Dude literally led them to the playoffs a year ago, this is an off year. He can either rehab his value and get a better return or he can be kept around for the next iteration of the Grizzlies seeing that he’s still relatively young. Win/win either way.So you’re blatantly ignoring Ja Morant’s play this season, him having issues with his coach repeatedly, not being healthy for YEARS, and is now making too much money for his lack of production because he went to 2 all star games in the past and had a good playoff run before
Again Trae Young being traded also hurt his trade value because Trae and Ja are in the same boat outside of the off the court stuff
you’re being willfully ignorant because you like Ja being the underdog? Lol
The Hawks were looking to retool by handing the keys to JJ, bring in a vet to stabilize things and a shooter for JJ, the Wiz are setting themselves up to to be competitive next season. The Grizzlies are rebuilding so they are selling off their assets, they just got 3 first round picks for JJJ, so then why would they turn around and hastily trade away Ja for nothing simply because of his “negative value”? They can simply wait for a better deal or keep him around.
