Haven't watched it yet but based on what y'all saying, I wonder if marvel is thinking about a lot of shows they cancelled cause they were stuck in development hell or ones they assumed people weren't going to like

Wonder what made them keep this project as opposed to others

Just for me but my expectations on this was really low going in lol
 
I'm genuinely loving this show. I just finished the 2nd and 3rd episodes tonight and 10 minutes into the 2nd one I texted my middle daughter like "I know you haven't seen all of the MCU flicks yet, but you gotta watch this!". She's been trying to get her foot in the door in Hollywood for a few years now and all of the story would genuinely speak to her and her experiences. She's done the audition reels and alladat, I recorded her singing for an audition over the summer, helped her with a reel a few years ago like Trevor did in Ep3 and all.

When he said at the end of Ep3 that they both got the callback, I was cheering for dude. Last time I was this invested in a show was Rez Dogs.
 
This series was great!! I might put it in my top 5 Disney+ projects.

Bar was very low but the reviews early on had me intrigued. i liked that it wasn’t your typical mcu project kinda like the Eternals.

Thought the dynamic btw Yaya & Fugazy Mandarin was great. Yaya’s powers are pretty cool. I hope they figure out how to incorporate him in future projects cause idk if we get a season 2. The opportunity to do a West Coast Avengers is right there tho.

Damage Control hunting down “dangerous” ppl sets the precedent for something like the mutant registration act to come to fruition in the future.

Didn't really care that there wasn't too much action cause I was trying to see wtf is going on...

...so when the action did come I'm thinking this dude is a little better at it than he should be

I understand the point of the episode, just didn't care. Shit was too long

I was wondering what accident happened to him as a kid for him to have powers. I know wonderman from the comics so Idk if I'm cool with him being a mutant.

I hope they don't make him street level either.

He's a powerhouse

Glad their wasn't any gay shit

Glad he got the role, he was his own worst enemy for awhile

Glad some Haitian actors got some light

That agent was asking too much. Trevor Slattery is a thespian extraordinaire not leo in the depahhted

They didn’t even redo much they just made some quick changes to episode 1 like bringing Karen back when initially she wasn’t gonna be on it at all.

The new season supposedly is gonna be way better

They added way more action scenes the original idea was genuine court segments. Matt wasn't even going to be suited up for the most part. They scrapped a ton.
 
This is what I appreciate about Marvel. They try to change up the superhero paradigm. The first three episodes were interesting but you wouldn't know this is a superhero show if someone didn't tell you. I gotta see where it goes from there.

This is what ive read as well. I read daredevil the hero didn't show up until late in the season and the original show for the most part was like a courtroom drama. Sounded like some law and order shit in the marvel universe.

I still havent seen born again but will get around to it.
